In awards news Benedict was nominated for best actor at the Specsavers ITV 3 Crime Thriller Awards - an award he's won previously. He has a brutally tough category competing against Dominic West for Appropriate Adult (who recently the BAFTA for that role), Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire), Kenneth Branagh (Wallander) and Damian Lewis (Homeland). Martin Freeman is nominated for best supporting actor and the glorious Una Stubbs is up for best supporting actress. Sherlock is also nominated for best series.
